What you will learn: This interactive workshop introduces all of the main concepts required to have a good foundational understanding of Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies. You will learn about the market dynamics, Blockchain technology and the Bitcoin Blockchain infrastructure platform will be introduced. In addition, you will learn important cryptocurrency concepts and we will use the bitcoin cryptocurrency (BTC) to illustrate how you can use cryptocurrencies. 

 

The course focuses on business applications of Blockchain, covering several case studies in multiple sectors, Blockchain technologies, and business applications. Different types of Blockchains are discussed and an overview of the most popular Blockchains, namely, Bitcoin, Ethereum and Hyperledger is provided. The workshop will also introduce how business logic is handled on a Blockchain through smart contracts.

      Certification: This course is required for Business and Technical Foundational Certification. For certification - completion of Day 2: Developing a Blockchain Business Transformation Strategy – Identifying Opportunities & Assessing Organizational Impacts; successful completion of a small capstone project; and passing an exam are required. Certification requires the candidate to have either completed post-secondary education or have a minimum of two years of professional work experience.

       

      Cost for Certification: Please note that there may be an additional fee for review of the capstone project and the certification exam. This will be kept to a minimum and shall not exceed $150 for the process.
